SPEECH, DRAMA & COMMUNICATION
Drama is about communication. It provides the foundation to the performing arts. Drama creates a platform for all ages to explore, experience and enjoy becoming a new character, while having fun with voice and learning how to express yourself clearly and with confidence. The communication skills learnt in drama are directly transferable to theoutside world. It provides each individual with the ability to talk with confidence, stand proudly and communicate ideas clearly and effectively in any situation. It is a tool to ensure that each individual can grow in self-esteem, creativity and expression.

Acting Examinations
LAMDA Acting Examinations have been designed to equip students with the skills necessary to communicate dramatic text to an audience. Students must explore style, form, character, subtext and context in order to realise the specific demands of the text. Through the exploration of naturalistic style, technique and methods students will learn how to stay in character and create a sense of reality.
Verse & Prose Examinations
LAMDA Verse & Prose Examinations have been designed to develop the skills necessary for effective oral communication of the written word. Students will deliver text imaginatively with thought, emotion demonstrating an understanding of style and form of the text. Naturally students will develop their use of the voice, working on diction, articulation, modulation, breath control and posture.
